National Society Daughters of the American Revolution
ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMBERSHIP
Any woman, 18 years of age or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible for membership in DAR.
What Is DAR
The DAR, a nonprofit, nonpolitical volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history and securing America's future through better education, consists of nearly 185,000 members in 3,000 chapters across the world.
What Do We Do
Members of DAR:
Honor and remember our ancestors who founded this country
Support the education of our children in underserved areas
Foster good citizenship
Preserve the past for future generations
